Make It Monday Craft Group
In response to the library survey last spring, the library is launching an arts and crafts group. Each week students will be able to participate in a craft based activity for a creative outlet as well as providing a safe place for after school.
Students must sign up prior to the date of each class they would like to participate. Sign up form will be through a Google form prior to class date. When possible, class registration will be opened two weeks prior to date. Email reminders will be sent to participants. Classes will be limited but will take place as long as at least one student signs up. |
MakerspacesMakerspaces by definition are activity centers that allow students to create, explore, apply, and innovate. The basis of this has grown out of the need for students to have a way to explore ideas and concepts outside the classroom. Makerspaces are similar to learning centers used in classrooms but the idea is for the activities to be more open and fun.
Makerspaces will be available before school 7:30-7:52 (first bell), during lunch periods, and after school from 3:30-4:00. As well as during the day, a teacher may send a student with a pass for a specific period of time. |
